Reptile Medical Records and Treatments

Medical events record an animal’s health history, from a one-off vet note to an ongoing course of medication.

The Add Medical Event form with a Medical Type grid (regurgitation, mite treatment, respiratory infection, and more), a Severity selector, and Vet Visit, Start Treatment, and Stop Feeding toggles.

Logging a medical event

  1. Open the animal and tap Log Event.
  2. Choose Medical.
  3. Pick the condition. Common ones like regurgitation, mite treatment, respiratory infection, and scale rot are built in, or use Other.
  4. Set the severity (mild, moderate, severe), add notes and any treatment given.
  5. Tap Save.

From the same form you can also put the animal’s feeding on hold until a date you set (the Stop Feeding toggle), which is useful after a regurgitation when you want a forced rest before the next meal.

Ongoing treatments

For medication given over time, Scutely tracks the treatment itself, not just single events:

  • Start a treatment from the Medical form, with the condition, medication, dosage, frequency, and expected duration.
  • Each time you give a dose, log an administration against the treatment. This records the route and dose, and updates when the medication was last given.
  • An animal under active treatment is flagged, so you can see at a glance which animals are being treated and when their next dose is due.

Privacy

Medical records are never shown on public animal pages, even when the animal is public. They stay private to you.
